Chapter Two: Fictional World

Raven let out a low sigh as she settled into the pilot’s seat at the control panel, blinking slowly as she looked over the control panel. Surprisingly, she had access to almost everything, including memory storage units that were normally locked and libido urges. She knew this was likely because of the Delta 8 gummy that Asmodeus had given the vessel earlier, and she felt a small smile creep across her face. It seemed that with every gummy, she learned a little bit more about the constellation.

Raven rolled her shoulder as she looked up at the holo-display that took up the northern wall, displaying what the vessel was seeing. It looked like they were laying in bed, trying to read through some Discord messages, although nothing was really being retained.

Raven crossed her legs, leaning back into her chair. It looked like tonight would be a fairly easy shift, seeing as how the gummy was already hitting the vessel hard.

Raven started and spun her chair to look towards the door of the console room after hearing someone knock into the small, rickety table that sat next to the door. Almost everyone ran into that thing.

The Elf was surprised to see Pyre entering the room, and the other woman nodded at Raven, gracefully moving towards the co-pilot’s seat.
“Hey.” Raven said cheerily, and Pyre nodded. “Whatcha doin’?”

Pyre seemed to let out a silent sigh and shrugged lightly.

“Just want to keep an eye on things. You know how gummies affect us.” Pyre replied and Raven nodded. She knew that those words were code for “I’m watching you to make sure you don’t do anything stupid”. Raven couldn’t help but feel aggravated about it, and she turned away from Pyre, looking back up at the holo-display.

Raven hadn’t fronted in nearly 5 years, and had only began fronting more about a week ago. She’d been a main host for nearly 5 years before her break, so being supervised so often annoyed her to no end.

Raven pulled herself out of her thoughts as she noticed a particular phrase on the holo-display: “named their source”. She decided to go back and reread the message, to try and understand what was being talked about.

Raven hit a few buttons on the console panel, grabbing a joystick and guiding the vessel to scroll back up on the phone screen, and stopping on the message she needed.

“They ‘named’ their source even if it’s technically the brain.”

Raven smiled slightly, thinking of Rogue Syn. The humanoid would probably enjoy writing about her world, even if she couldn’t remember a lot of it.
Suddenly, Raven heard pounding footsteps from the hallway outside the console room, and the sound of wings banging into the walls. She turned towards the door, waiting patiently.

Finally, a humanoid stumbled into the console room, black iridescent wings flaring outwards awkwardly to try and stabilise the entity. Raven couldn’t make out any details past the wings due to the form of the entity constantly flickering and blurring.

“Hey, Rogue Syn.” Raven said easily and the entity looked up at the Elf. Raven could feel the frenzied energy of the other woman, and couldn’t help but smile.

"I wanna name my fictional world!” Rogue Syn said excitedly and Raven laughed, shaking her head in disbelief. All that just to ask for something that was already gonna happen.

Rogue Syn gasped happily then, hands flapping eagerly.

“I wanna make a fictional world of my fictional world!” The entity nearly shouted, her voice tripling. Raven winced, but said nothing about Rogue Syn’s voice. She didn’t really have any control over how her voice sounded, so there was no reason to point it out.

Raven nodded, still smiling.

“I think we can arrange that.” Raven said, holding back her laughter. This was just adorable.

Rogue Syn started jumping up and down in excitement, her wings flapping slightly.

“Thank you, Rae!” The entity shouted, before bolting out of the room and Raven let out a low chuckle, turning back towards the holo-display.

“I love that person.” Raven said lightly, not talking to anyone in particular.

“She’s tolerable.” Pyre said, and Raven nodded.

“Aye, she is.” The Elf replied as she began to relax again. Tonight was going to turn out pretty good after all.
